Nikolaos Skordoulias from National Technical University of Athens presented the techno-economic analysis tool developed in the framework of the TRIĒRĒS project at Munich Hydrogen Symposium held from 21st to 24th of October 2024.
This tool is able to assess the optimal renewable energy source (RES) and electrolyser configuration for cost-effective green hydrogen production, based on the hydrogen demand in a specific region or hub. This will optimize how the TRIERES hydrogen valley couples with other RES in the future, minimizing costs and further decarbonizing the Peloponnese region.
Based on the abstract submitted to this conference, together with the conference paper presented at ECOS2024 in Rhodes, a full peer-reviewed paper is being prepared by the NTUA team for submission by the end of 2024.
