TRIĒRĒS participated in ECOS2024, the 37th International Conference on Efficiency, Cost, Optimization, Simulation and Environmental Impact of Energy Systems, which took place from the 30th June to 5th July, 2024. Critical discussions were held on how to overcome complex, intersectional challenges in sustainable energy systems.
The conference opening ceremony speech was held by Sotirios Karellas from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), who also chaired industrial keynote speeches on Thursday 4th of July.
A presentation entitled “Flexible techno-economic assessment tool for optimal electrolysis-RES coupling” was delivered by Nikolaos Skordoulias at the last day of this conference, the results of which were submitted as a conference paper.
Konstantinos I. Chatzifotis, EU Affairs Manager of Motor Oil and project coordinator of TRIĒRĒS, was also present and contributed valuable insights to the discussions. A significant focus was on hydrogen energy, exploring its production, storage and utilization. This initiative was an important step towards advancing more sustainable and efficient energy solutions.
