To mark World Hydrogen Day (8 October), Motor Oil, in collaboration with the Municipality of Loutraki–Perachora–Agioi Theodoroi, organized an engaging educational event at the 1st Primary School of Agioi Theodoroi. The initiative aimed to bring the world of renewable energy and hydrogen closer to young students through interactive learning, storytelling, and practical demonstrations.

Children explored questions such as how energy is generated from the sun and wind, what electrolysis is, and how hydrogen can power vehicles, industries, and even cities with zero emissions. Through playful experiments and guided discussion, they discovered what “green hydrogen” means and how it contributes to a cleaner and more sustainable future.

The programme also featured the educational video “Water and Light”, developed within the European project FCHgo!, illustrating the transformation of water and energy into hydrogen. Motor Oil expressed its sincere appreciation to the project’s coordinator and creators for kindly granting permission to use this valuable educational material.

Educating children about hydrogen and clean energy is a key step toward building awareness and curiosity about the technologies that will shape a climate-neutral future.
